They perform in-house testing to find exactly what aspects of their mind are involved, uncover things that the patient may be doing to compensate for this loss of function, and help find ways for the family to better help and communicate with their loved ones. This is also an excellent way to determine whether your loved one is safe to live alone and how much assistance they really need.
